With the phenomenon that is 21 December 2012 and the end of the world scenario it is supposed to bring coming to the fore in recent years, what is it really all about? Will the world really end in this year, or are we looking at an elaborate hoax or Hollywood movie scenario? No one really knows, but it’s always best to be prepared. And so, then, we have to ask: do you feel ready for the events of 2012?
For many people, the preparation is akin to the scare we had with Y2K. They are trying to stockpile all the essentials they believe will keep them safe during the natural disasters that are meant to occur. But will these bunkers really keep them safe? Well, that all depends. If the natural disasters are likely to happen as people predict, then this is unlikely. Any massive earthquakes that could occur, for example, would just tear any bunker apart.
Being prepared for any disaster is a good idea, of course. Good things to store away for this eventuality include emergency rations, a flashlight, first aid kit and blankets. You should also go over disaster plans with your children.
